You have totally made me want a Palm Pre!
I would love to win this, especially since i just got the Palm Pre and need to download some apps.
Trista… the apps are actually not purchased through Verizon. You give your credit card to Palm and Palm is who you pay for apps… so sorry! It can help pay your Verizon bill though!

Great last post. I’ve been trying to encourage my wife to get a Pixi. The family calendar sync is something I hadn’t even thought of as a huge benefit.

In my gut, I know I am a Palm mama. I had my first (and only) Palm Pilot when I worked in corporate America from 1999-2003 (about then). My company wouldn’t buy one for me, but I knew it was so essential for my job. Then I had child #1, then #2, and then #3, and by then that PalmPilot was long trashed. By then I succumbed and said, I need a PDA. So I got the TREO and was so psyched because its OS was so similar to what I had remembered from years earlier.
Now it’s 2 years later, I’m feeling sad that I can’t get an IPhone (after many spotty, dropped called years with AT&T I switched to Verizon about 5 years ago and will never go back!)…and lo and behold I flip open my New Yorker a coupla weeks ago and see their Palm Pre ad campaign directed exactly at my demo, and I say, THIS IS THE PHONE FOR ME!!!
Needless to say, I still can’t commit and I’m still thinking…hmmm..maybe the Android? Maybe the Storm? But NO, I say, I am a Palm mama! I do not want to go RIM! I do not want to go Motorola! But, what about the flimsy build they (Josh Topolsky) say about the Pre+? What about the low battery life? (actually, this doesn’t phase me, as I always charge at end of night).
Alas, it’s 3:10am EST and I still am here? I must be loony or something!
With the 2 year old up at 6:30, I sure hope that my non-caffeinated life is peaceful tomorrow morning.
And, darn, I could sure use that Pre+ just about then!
My husband has his eye on a Palm Pre Plus. His current Palm is ancient.
Oh my gosh, the Palm Pre sounds so cool now that I know all about it! My samsung is looking pretty sad about now:-)
